NakedNews Celebrates 10 Years, Offers Affiliate Program

TORONTO — NakedNews, the program that delivers news, sports and entertainment while its female anchors take off their clothes, recently celebrated its ten year anniversary and launched an affiliate program that provides daily new content for affiliates.

“Many webmasters have been asking us for the opportunity to send us joins and get paid for it,” executive producer David Warga told XBIZ.

“We have developed a fantastic iPhone/Android compatible site and we are looking not only for web traffic for our website, but filtered mobile traffic for the mobile site. “

Warga said the company provides new content every day for the site.

“NakedNews.com isn’t the typical porn site, where members stay for a short time. Our members stay for months, years and some even a decade,” he said.

The concept for NakedNews was conceived by Fernando Pereira and Kirby Stasyna in 1998. While watching a news program on television, one of them turned to the other and said, “I wonder what she looks like naked?” The other replied, “That’s a good idea.”

Warga said 10 years later, it’s still going strong according to the company’s Internet membership subscribers and its television, hotel, video and mobile audience.

Warga added there is no one secrete to running a successful business.

“One has to be innovative as well as flexible enough to adopt to the times, the markets and the technology. We constantly maintain the highest quality video available on the Internet. Our site and our mobile site are iPhone, iTouch, iPod and iPad compatible and most importantly, we produce fresh content everyday.”

According to Warga, most of the subscribers “come for the nudity and stay for the news.” ,p> Warga said, “We are not adult content in the strict sense of the word as there is no sex, only beautiful, intelligent and articulate women delivering the news while removing their clothing.”

Speaking of the anchors, Warga said some of them have backgrounds in journalism or broadcast news, others have various other degrees and job experiences. The company, he said, spends several months training the anchors to meet the company’s standards. Many of them learn on the job.

Warga said that NakedNews.com is unique because it is not porn or mainstream media.

“I have always firmly believed that the news is filled with death, depression and disaster. We at NakedNews present that news wrapped in a blanket of beautiful, articulate and intelligent women. For many people, we make the news worth watching.”

Since it launched, NakedNews has received positive feedback from a variety of mainstream media outlets including Time Magazine and Howard Stern.
